Dr. Munson’s career is marked by his specialization in LASIK, PRK, RLE and ICL procedures. In the course of more than 15 years of refractive surgery, he has performed 15,000 vision correction procedures and overseen an additional 20,000 as a medical director.
His experience is complemented by 29 years of military service, during which he earned the prestigious Legion of Merit and led Army Warfighter Eye Centers (refractive surgery) to improve the vision of tens of thousands of soldiers, pilots and Special Forces personnel. As the Army’s sole Director of Ophthalmology Training, he trained more than 60 eye surgeons with a 100 percent board certification rate.
As a certified trainer on various laser platforms and one of only three national surgical trainers for the EVO ICL, Dr. Munson is highly esteemed in his field. He is also the second-highest ICL implanter in the Northwest US and Canada.
